Bertram's is an informal yet elegant restaurant and café in the heart of Warkworth, serving thoughtfully prepared dishes built around the best Northumbrian produce — from Craster kippers at breakfast to a well-loved Sunday Supper Club.By day it runs as a relaxed café for coffee, breakfast and lunch; by evening it shifts into a proper bistro, with a fire to sit by in winter and a courtyard for warmer months. Five comfortable guest bedrooms make it just as easy to stay the night as to drop in for a meal.
Heather & Sand Review
Bertram’s was exactly the sort of place we hoped to find in Warkworth. Friendly, relaxed and genuinely welcoming to dogs, with cosy seating inside and a lovely little courtyard tucked away at the back. Lucy’s Avocado Smash was fresh and beautifully presented, while Tom went for the Northumbrian breakfast — perfectly cooked, packed with good locally sourced ingredients and immediately promoted into his **top three Northumberland breakfasts**. Add excellent coffee, cheerful staff and Meg happily settled beside the table and Bertram’s is somewhere we’ll definitely return to. **Come hungry.**
